Invisible Protection. Visible Quality.
TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) film is the unsung hero of modern manufacturing — the crystal-clear layer that waterproofs your rain jacket, the invisible shield protecting your car's paint, the transparent window in your favorite designer tote. It's everywhere you look, and you've never noticed it. That's the point.
Our TPU film is extruded from premium polyester-grade TPU resin for the ideal balance of clarity, flexibility, and chemical resistance. Unlike PVC film that yellows and leaches plasticizers within months, our TPU stays crystal clear, flexible, and stable for years — even under UV exposure, extreme temperatures, and repeated mechanical stress.
Why Choose Our TPU Film?
Crystal-Clear Transparency— Light transmission >92%. As clear as glass, as flexible as rubber. Perfect for transparent bag windows, display covers, and see-through protective layers.
Zero Plasticizers, Zero Yellowing— Unlike PVC, TPU requires no plasticizers to stay flexible. No chemical leaching, no stickiness, no yellowing — remains crystal clear for the life of your product.
Extreme Flexibility & Toughness— 400-600% elongation with high tensile strength (30-50 MPa). Stretches, flexes, and rebounds without cracking, tearing, or deforming — even at -30°C.
Waterproof & Breathable Options— Standard film is fully waterproof (ideal for rainwear, dry bags, table covers). Breathable microporous grades available for active wear and medical applications.
Heat-Sealable & Weldable— Bonds to itself and to fabric via heat press, RF welding, or ultrasonic welding. Creates permanent, waterproof seams without stitching.
UV & Chemical Resistant— Polyester-grade TPU resists UV degradation, oils, fuels, and common solvents. Suitable for outdoor and industrial applications.
Food-Safe & Skin-Safe— BPA-free, phthalate-free, OEKO-TEX certified. Safe for food contact applications, medical devices, and baby products.

FAQ Section
Q: Is this the same as clear vinyl / PVC?A: No. TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) is a fundamentally different material. Unlike PVC, TPU contains zero plasticizers, so it never yellows, never gets sticky, and never leaches chemicals. It's also far more flexible, tougher, and remains stable from -30°C to 110°C. If you've been frustrated with vinyl that turns yellow and brittle — TPU is the upgrade you need.
Q: Can I sew this with a regular sewing machine?A: Yes, but with some technique adjustments. Use a Teflon or roller foot (to prevent sticking), a size 12-14 microtex needle, and polyester thread. Place tissue paper or tear-away stabilizer between the film and feed dogs. Use a longer stitch (3.0-3.5mm). For best results, RF welding or heat sealing produces stronger, fully waterproof seams.
Q: How do I bond it to fabric?A: Three methods: (1) Heat press lamination — place TPU film on fabric and press at 130-150°C for 15-30 seconds with a release sheet. (2) RF (radio frequency) welding — the industry standard for waterproof seams in rainwear and medical products. (3) Adhesive bonding — use a TPU-compatible adhesive for cold bonding. For DIY, a household iron on medium-high heat with parchment paper works for small projects.
Q: Will it yellow or get cloudy over time?A: No. Our polyester-grade TPU is UV-stabilized and contains zero plasticizers — the two main causes of yellowing in clear films. Tested to >1000 hours QUV accelerated weathering without significant color shift. It stays crystal clear for the life of your product.
Q: Is it food-safe?A: Our standard TPU film is BPA-free and phthalate-free, and meets FDA 21 CFR indirect food contact requirements. For direct food contact applications, please inquire about our food-grade TPU film with full FDA compliance certification.
Q: Can I print on it?A: Yes! TPU film accepts UV inkjet printing, screen printing, and solvent-based inkjet with proper surface treatment. For best adhesion, we recommend corona or plasma surface treatment before printing. Custom pre-treated film rolls are available for bulk orders.
Q: How does it compare to your TPU Hot Melt Adhesive Film?A: The Hot Melt Adhesive Film is designed for bonding — it melts and adheres two materials together. This TPU Film is a standalone barrier/structural material — it doesn't melt or bond on its own. Use Hot Melt Film as the glue between layers. Use this TPU Film as the transparent waterproof layer itself. Many customers use both: TPU Film as the waterproof membrane, Hot Melt Film to bond it to the fabric.
